WORSHIP PASTOR
Full-Time

The role of the Worship Pastor will be a dual role to support the Lead Pastor in overseeing and coordinating all Worship ministries at JMC and Discipleship. This includes oversight and further development of healthy, thriving LifeGroups. The Worship Pastor takes on the responsibility of guarding the spiritual culture and character of the worship ministry and LifeGroups, its staff/volunteers. This person is a leader of the development and multiplication of worship leaders, musicians, and LifeGroup leaders.  

// PURPOSE //
The Worship Pastor will serve in this role to:
• Lead Worship
• Oversee LifeGroup health and development
• Bring new depth, understanding, relevance, and execution to JMC’s Worship experience
• Build teams
• Mentor & develop worship leaders with the goal of quality, spirit-led, worship
• Support the Worship Team with administration needs such as audition process, creative needs, and volunteer base 
• Be highly flexible to serve at any campus/service needed
• Seek out, develop, and encourage all volunteers to succeed in any Worship capacity 
• Cultivate a leadership development environment; teach, lead, measure, and expect development
• Be willing to communicate on and off stage
• Able and willing to preach as needed
• Instill servant leadership, honor, and respect across all Worship Team members
• Be accessible, approachable, and teachable
• Continually learn and grow in personal leadership and spirituality
• Lead and manage JMC Worship Team
• Oversee the structure and systems of JMC Worship
• Plan and implement JMC projects and team goals

// REQUIRMENTS // 
The Worship Pastor must be gifted and passionate about worship. Able and willing to lead by example and set the tone for the rest of the team. Must be flexible, organized and able to develop leaders. Sensitive to the Holy Spirit and able to work in harmony with the Lead Pastor and staff/team on and off the stage. Must pursue Christlikeness. Passionate and hungry for growth development. Intentional and engaging with the team and the next generation. General computer skills and working knowledge for planning center, pro presenter, slide creation and audio-visual elements. This individual must be a team oriented, disciple-developing, vision-supporting model.  

// RESPONSIBILITIES //
• Works closely with Lead Pastor & Executive Pastor
• Lead Worship with passion & conviction
• Engage & lead in service planning and special events
• Mentor & develop leaders
• Create opportunities for leadership within team
